To keep my HT or not

Have a Chisel Comp HT and recently upgraded to a Chisel Comp FS. I dont necessarily need 2 bikes, and the ability to lockout the rear suspension makes it feel like there isnt much use in keeping the HT. I thought about maybe swapping out the tires to something more gravel road and then swapping the bar out for a surly corner bar to have a type of a gravel bike? I ride a good mix of fire roads, street, and trails ( pnw) when i do ride which isnt a ton . I also have just a road bike but usually just always keep it in my garage hooked up to the trainer.

Just thought since I already have it, its good to keep it since its such a good HT but also dont know if its worth just keeping around to maybe use at another time for something else.

Advice needed for cut down tree

Using a tree thats been cut down as a front support . Have 3 posts im going to use for the other supports.

My question, the tree is the front right support that I want to lay a beam across and attach the beam to the other post im going to put up, for this, can I just cut to level the top of the remainder of the tree and screw a bracket directly down into the top and then lay the beam into that bracket? My concern is water getting into the top of where has been cut, can I seal it somehow ?

Hey guys , have a chisel comp full squish with SRAM G, trigger 12-speed. Was riding yesterday and fell over on the left side . Got up and everything was working fine for like the next 10 min including shifting. Then randomly I went to shift to a lower gear and the lever was almost pointing at me. When I go to shift it shifts fine but I have to push it further and further each time to shift until its almost pointing forward then won't shift anymore, it only shifts about 3 gears. Shifting higher gears is fine . Derailleur looks totally fine, nothing looks scraped or bumped, nothing is loose, that side of my bike didnt even hit anything, it's also a new bike and had only been ridden minimally so far. I know there is a bolt on the bottom and everything is tight and all seated well.

Thanks guys!
