I had a watch strap custom made on Etsy for a watch that was an unusual size. I sent the maker all the measurements that I thought he would have needed. I don’t think he or I took account of how thick the leather that would go around the springs would be for the final product. As you a see in the picture the outer diameter is too wide to fit in the watch body seat. I spoke to the seller and asked if there was a way to fix this and he vaguely said that I should rub it with a tool. No guidance as to what tool or how or anything. I’m currently waiting for more instruction, but I’m bummed it didn’t work. It was a little pricier than what I had planned to spend and because it’s custom, I doubt I’ll be allowed to return it or get a refund.
Any suggestions welcomed.
