Marty asks to see the baby and the subtitles say “five, please, Mizler” . And then the nurse says “you said 4 right?” and then Marty nods. So according to the subtitles she presumably grabs the 4th baby and not the 5th, so the wrong child.

Honestly even when listening to the scene it sounds like he said 5, but it’s very hard to hear and his head also blocks his thumb so you can’t tell if he’s holding up 4 or 5 fingers.

Overall it really confused me 😂
