~3,000 sqft custom build. Thinking about removing half bath. How to optimize space?
Just starting discussions with a custom builder, and this is the floor plan they provided. We are able to make some adjustments, so would love to get feedback on the layout.
Our initial thought is to remove the half bath because it seems like it may be a bit of a waste of space / oddly located. We are considering using that area instead for additional storage, a pet food/water station (and litter box), and possibly a tech closet for WiFi equipment, a server, etc.
The house is technically a 1.5-story. The upstairs has an additional bedroom, full bathroom and play area. We would likely use this as offices since my wife and I both work from home 2-3 days a week.
Would love to hear any thoughts on the layout, potential changes, or things we may not be considering. Open to any suggestions.
