Does anyone actually avoid AI completely anymore?

Real question. Are there still students who do every part of their assignments without touching AI at all? Not just writing essays, but even smaller things like brainstorming ideas, finding sources, summarizing readings, checking grammar, or organizing notes.

At this point it feels like AI has quietly blended into normal student workflow, even for people who insist they “never use AI.” That’s what makes the whole discussion so messy now. There’s a massive difference between having AI fully generate your work versus using it more like an advanced search or editing tool, but online people tend to lump all of it together.

I’m genuinely curious where people personally draw the line now, because completely avoiding AI feels way less common than it did even a year ago.
