To those who recommended Cradle, thank you.
I finished Cradle over the weekend and was really disappointed. Not because of the story, which was excellent, but because I will never read a Cradle book for the first time again.
I inhaled all 12 books. I'm usually a decently fast reader, but it went to a new level from about halfway through Soulsmith. There were times when I couldn't put the books down. The pace was relentless and even when there was down time, it never felt like down time. Lindon is making a new construct? Lindon is progressing. Lindon is sat on the ground cycling? Lindon is progressing. Lindon is fighting? Lindon is progressing.
My only minor criticism is I felt there could've been a 13th book. The end of Waybound felt a little rushed. Perhaps I am just being greedy in wanting more Cradle!
To the hundreds of people who recommend Cradle as progression fantasy (if that's even the right term), thank you.
To the hundreds of people who recommend Cradle to enjoyers of Dungeon Crawler Carl, thank you. (This is how I discovered it)
