My fellow nurses, The facility I work at is currently taking very critical pre/post op, ECMO, open hearts, CRRT and the acuity is extremely high. Our staffing has been slim and retention is down.

Does your hospital offer a CVICU differential pay compared to floor nurses? We currently make the same as medsurg nurses (not undermining their job like some have taken it) I used to be adult GI medsurg so I get it-- but the stress of CVICU peds is way more taxing IMO
Also CVOR makes $10 more an hour than us. Can someone help me understand why that may be?

Thanks in advance!!
