MBA vs MS&E when BS in CS & 4yoe in Faang
Hi y'all,
I’m considering applying for the stanford MBA and Management in science and engineering (MS&E). I got a B.S in Computer Science and have been working at faang companies as an engineer for 4 years.
I’m considering one of these programs at stanford because
- Network. Interested in meeting awesome people in the world
- Being able to go back to school and have (somewhat?) great classes.
- Not interested in VC or Start-up. Only interested in tech leadership.
- Interested in knowing which program have better employment result in tech after
- Name value. I went to a state school and don’t have an ivy degree
I'm not interested in career switch or going into VC/start-up. Interested in MBA/MS&E is because of networking & being able to learn different stuffs & being able to go to school again. Money is not an issue here, but time commitment and impact to career development is a serious concern.
Any thoughts or advice? Seeking especially from those who had to make a choice or those who attended. Really appreciate it!
