I work as a QT in a semi systematic vol desk (index options) in one of Tier 2 firms. The job involves a good degree of "risk taking" kind of role, analogous to Tower, SIG, Opti types. My manager is also from one of these firms. The thing is I don't really like making pnl using "risk taking" bets but rather using systematic alphas ( I have had prior experience in this). What would you guys suggest, I do. Also I've been thinking of a Master's or an MBA. Are there prospective exits or firms that would hire someone with my experience ?
