Hi all, just wanted to share my experience and maybe get some perspective.

I have a manufacturing-based engineering degree and previously worked as a process and equipment engineer in the semiconductor industry. Over time, I realized that the high-pressure, on-site manufacturing environment wasn’t a good fit for my long-term well-being.

I’m now looking to switch into a more computer-based path, specifically in **data** or **UI/UX**, where the work is more analytical or design-focused and potentially allows for hybrid or remote setups. One concern I have is how AI might impact these roles in the future, whether they’re still viable long-term and how people in these fields are adapting.I’m currently exploring how to best make this transition and would appreciate advice from anyone who has made a similar move.
