Looking for a lab in Canada to study for a master's degree in chemistry.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for graduate research opportunities (MSc) in chemistry-related labs in Canada for Fall 2026 and wanted to ask if anyone knows groups that are currently looking for students.

I currently work as a chemist at the National Scientific Oncology Center in Kazakhstan, mainly on QC of F-18 FDG, analytical testing, HPLC/GC validation, and GMP-related work. I also have some pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.

I already have funding support/scholarship possibilities, so funding from the lab is not the main issue.

At the moment I can only apply to these universities:

  • Dalhousie
  • McMaster
  • British Columbia (UBC)
  • U of T
  • UAlberta
  • UCalgary
  • Western University
  • Guelph
  • Waterloo
  • Queens

I’m especially interested in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, radiochemistry, synthesis, analytical chemistry, or related areas.

If your lab is taking students, or if you know a PI/group that is actively looking for motivated grad students, I’d really appreciate any suggestions, contacts, or advice.

Thank you!
