I started exploring domains and domain flipping around 4–5 months ago.

At first, I bought names mostly based on appraisals from different platforms and listed them on Atom and Afternic. My portfolio ended up being a mix of brandable names, geo domains, and random ideas I personally liked.

One of them was GracieGreen.com.

Honestly, I didn’t even know how I would market it or who the ideal buyer would be. I just thought it sounded like a real brand.

For weeks I kept checking views and statistics multiple times a day, expecting something to happen. Nothing did.

Eventually I stopped paying attention to the portfolio, lowered my prices, and moved on to exploring other online business ideas.

Then one night I suddenly got a notification that GracieGreen.com had sold on Afternic with around a $100profit.

It wasn’t life-changing money, but it completely changed how I look at domains.

Not because of the amount — but because it proved that this is actually a real market with real buyers behind it, not just social media hype or fake “easy money” posts.

Now I find myself exploring domains again, learning more about branding and buyer psychology, experimenting with different types of names, and paying much more attention to why some domains attract buyers while others get ignored.

Still very early in the journey, but this small sale definitely made the whole space feel real to me.
