As an update to this question, for those it may help, I took the batteries out and found that the board sounds perfectly fine, honestly airy and wispy which is great for clackiness and right up my preference alley.

However, knocking on the back of the board obviously made it ping slightly with the hollow internal weight. As long as you aren’t typing on a slightly elevated surface or a block or foam or something you may hear a slight hollow not really tick per say, but internal ping from the modifier especially around the enter key/spacebar if you use 7u.

Long story short: The board is perfectly fine without any internal weight support however it may make an annoying pinging hollow sound from some of the modifiers if you don’t use the foam blockers (I didn’t manage to get them included since I got mine from ebay, but I don’t mind at all)

However if this is something that you feel like would annoy you, yes, I put the batteries back into the board and it completely fixed this hollow sound around the mods if anyone was ever wondering the same niche thought I ran into.
