King Hrolf Valhalla Frustration: Advice needed
So I've beaten Valhalla, but I still want to complete it 100% but I'm at a severe impasse that is starting to discourage me from playing it anymore

I can't fucking beat this dude
I've beaten the shit out of him barely in the base game on normal after trying it on hard multiple fucking times but Jesus Christ the way he's built in Valhalla infuriates me beyond end
Not because he's unwinnable, but because of how it feels like I can do it if I just get a few more solid hits in, but no matter what I do, what build I make, he fucking kills me and I'm 5 seconds away from chugging my controller at something and breaking it.
I'm tempted to lower the difficulty, because I have it cranked up to max, but Jesus the fact that I've beaten Valhalla on this is what kills me.
What the fuck is this POS made of? Spam city?
Background on my builds, after numerous runs I find the only way I'm the most effective against this spirit cum stain is when I have a solid Spear build, but even then, he makes my spear feel like a fucking twig.
Even researching on him here I find it insane that he's considered easy, because to me he's the biggest piece of shit that I hate even more than probably Sigrun and Gna combined which is saying something with how broken those bosses are.
Any solid advice?
