My grandad is 89 years of age and recently gave a close friend 100k loan when they told him they were in desperate need of money. Sadly he only agreed this loan verbally and is now worried that he wont get this money back or that if he dies his family wont be able to prove that it was a loan. Is there anything that can be done at this point to provide proof that the money was indeed a loan and make repayments enforceable?
