A week ago I had the worst pain I’ve ver felt while I reached over to buckle in my daughter. It felt like I had just been stabbed right in my nipple. I fell to the floor screaming in pain. The pain went away after about 30 seconds. I checked and there was nothing abnormal about my breast. Pain continued all week same situation every time something pressed against the center of my left breast it hurt incredibly bad as if someone just stabbed me. No other symptoms. It feels like mastitis but worse. I haven’t breast feed in 5 years. I went to the dr. No lump. Referred me to get a mammogram and ultrasound. Over the weekend my nipple retracted twice but reemerged after trying to fix it. I was shocked at the site, I didn’t know that could happen. Had the mammogram today, my breast are dense so they did ultrasound on both. They are so dense they had to bring in the Dr to scan them again after the tech was struggling. They found nothing. We’re on day 7 of the pain. I did start my period and complete it within those 7 days but the pain has not improved. What do I do now? Radiologist said to follow up with my Dr. I can’t hold my daughter like we always do in the morning. I can’t do anything that involves something touching my chest. Should I just wait it out see if it gets better?
