Camp vandalized — but why
I went out to dumpster what I could and charge my phone last night and someone destroyed my camp. I left around 10 PM and got back around 1 AM to find my tent thrown against a tree, all the garbage I'd collected into bags was kicked, and they stomped all my coffee cups.
Why? Are they just tired of seeing me? I've been here for a year in the woods on the edge of town. I see maybe 5 hikers pass by my spot a month so my location is known to probably a lot of people. Winter snow and footprints showed me it's a higher traffic area then I thought. I keep to myself and my only interaction with the area, besides leaving it, is to charge my phone and get water at a warehouse 5 minutes away. I do that at night.
I've moved at night and I'm sleeping in a different spot. I'm going to start rotating but I'm not sure what to expect from this. I just know if they can't find my gear at night they can't fuck with it.
