In the process of reading this book. About half way through it and I'm thoroughly enjoying this walk down memory lane. I'm really enjoying how this book was put together. The quick short stories and tales of the road from back then. I had some contact with the Turtles back in the late 60's when they came to town and played a local high school back in the day. I remember them having to borrow a drum kit from our local music store for the night. I remember them coming back into the store and the store trying to sell them. They had gotten a few "dings" on them and customers were not going to pay for a beat up kit. Never found out who bought them but I sure wish it would've been me. Anyways, I'm loving this book lots. I highly recommend it if you were into the 60's and the Turtles or Frank Zappa.
