5 weeks post 1st uncomplicated flare

Apart from some phantom pains or tenderness I was doing decent. Eating close to 25g of fiber which includes supplements with psyllium husk or Metamucil.

Today though I started feeling ill no fever but just stomach issues. I’ve had three solid stool outputs today and one diarrhea output with bloating and a little bit of cramping on the opposite side.

I hope it’s just some sort of bug or ibs type issue. My colonoscopy is scheduled a week from tomorrow so hopefully this doesn’t complicate things. Wondering if I need to do a low residue diet or liquid diet for the time being to let things settle until then.

My mind is spinning with the worst possible outcomes since this flare happened.

I’m more than 3 weeks past my non complicated flair. I started adding more fiber upwards of 25g last week with cooked veggies, beans, and psyllium husk or Metamucil. Still cautious with my diet. Daily probiotics pills and yogurt or kefir. No red meat or fried foods. I was feeling good all week except today when I went potty three times in the morning with normal looking stools. But since then I’ve felt lousy in the stomach and especially the colon. It’s not pain but I can tell there’s some trauma with a dull ache. I decided to go light with lunch with bone broth and shredded chicken. And likely will go light for dinner as well. But is the beginning of a flare up? Any suggestions beyond going back to fluids. Am I over analyzing?

I finally have a follow up GI appt scheduled for Monday.

I’ve been having trouble getting the GI doctor to get a follow up appt scheduled. For whatever reason they are still waiting on the paperwork from the Urgent care to prove I had my first flare. I really want to get a follow up visit. At this point if anyone has recommendations please let me know. I have the discharge paperwork including a CD of the CT scan.
