Hey guys, I work in produce at a grocery store and recently I got sexually assaulted(not at work or by a coworker). I had been having lots of breakdowns at work and kept avoiding telling management or anyone why but I finally told one of the managers I trust about what happened. It was a private conversation. Soon after my other manager came into the produce room and just stared at me in disbelief and then proceeded to be extremely rude to me and shaking his head, couldn’t even talk to me. I think the manager I confided in might have told other management. I don’t know what to do. Not only does it hurt to not be believed but I also can’t work in an environment where it feels like I am being shamed or disapproved of or hated while I am recovering from serious trauma. Should I go to HR? Was it ok for my manager to tell my other manager?
