Its been a minute, but here are some images of the finished goblin sculpture, and its a mug!  Like not an unusual face really a ceramic mug to drink from lol.  Its cast in porcelain slip, and painted with underglaze colors, so its a fully functional drinks container. I paint all the peices in a run a little bit unique, so I will post a few.

I have made a decent number of ceramic slip cast monsters at this point. I wouldn't say im an expert ceramicist, but I know my way round the process enough if you have questions.

The mold making is definitely on the more exacting side, compaired to casting up in resin with silicone molds, but its not too nasty.  The major difference is being a hard plaster mold, casting a hardish clay slip positive it doesn't tolerate undercuts very well.  Painting can be a little challenging because the glaze changes color and opacity when its fired. The exact result is always a little bit of a surprise, but thats just part of the pottery process.
