Made another thingy
Built with elixir and uses eBPF a little for some extra info
I was looking at bobby-tables.com and saw they don't have any examples in Elixir. I made a pull request; it looks like the owner of the website has seen it (he gave it a thumbs up) but it hasn't had any other review yet. Does anybody here want to take a look?
I am a plumber by trade, but develop software as a hobby/passion. I built this app for myself and the one guy I work with to use; perfect for small shops -- don't have to be plumbers, could be electricians, carpenters, whatever.
It's completely open source and if you want to host it on your own server, and handle your own API keys and stuff, it can be totally free. If you want to use the instance of it that I've got deployed on my server, I charge $25/month ($5 cheaper if you sign up for an annual subscription). I offer live telephone support. It's a lot cheaper than most similar things.
Find it at https://rompcrm.com !
The "cool feature" is that you can text an AI agent stuff like "When we do that water heater in Vergennes next week, that customer wants us to also replace her ktichen sink faucet" and it will text back "Got it, updated Janice Marnie's job to include replacing her kitchen sink faucet on May 22nd".
Or you can text it like "Remind me to grab some more 3/4" PRS couplings tomorrow morning" and it'll text back "got it, I'll remind you at 8:30am tomorrow to grab some more 3/4" PRS couplings"
Or, "Next week on Tuesday we're going to Dave Gohl's house to replace the stops under his bathroom sink. He's in Monkton on River Rd, it's the blue house next to the cemetery. We'll need two 1/2" PRS straight stops and two 3/4x1/2 sink supply lines." -- it texts back a confirmation and creates the job in your job listing with all those details noted.
You can also do like "Arrived at Bob's house now" and later on "Left Bob's house" and it'll add time-spent-on-job records.
There's also a time clock for employees to mark when their day started and finished.
It's designed to be basically like an AI assistant -- it's all the stuff my boss would text me, now he can text it to the AI assistant instead, and then when you log in to the app you can see a tidy list of all your ongoing jobs and stuff, materials lists, time logs, etc. -- you can also edit any of it through the web UI.
Hope you guys like it!
I built a block explorer (also has nice lightning network info) and decoder to provide info about addresses, lightning invoices, etc (mostly to practice using Elixir) -- check it out.
