How easy is it to mix and match different e drum kits?

I am about to get my first kit (nitro max) but was wondering how long it can last realistically. To save money upgrading to say a Roland, is it possible to buy different components from different brands for the alesis kit? E.g. a new snare drum or hi hat should the alesis ones conk out.

Thanks a lot

Hello! For a whole year I’ve only had a tabletop drum kit and now I have got a job and I’m moving, I am going to invest in a proper kit (thank god). My budget is about £450 (I think that’s around $500). My biggest thing is I probably want something foldable and a kit that doesn’t take up much space, my bedroom is not the biggest. I ideally don’t want to upgrade the kit for as long as I can.

Given the Millennium is the most expensive out of the three, I assume it’s probably got better features but was wondering if it is worth stretching my budget for it? Thanks a lot!

Ps Has anyone got any cheap headphone recommendatins?
