Went out on Medical Leave...company made decision without my knowledge/consent?
Location: VA USA
Hello! I am seeking advice regarding a situation that occurred at my workplace. Last OCT I unexpectedly when out on Medical leave. I worked on a team of four and one of my other coworkers also went out on Medical leave at the same time. When I returned the company stated two people could do the job of four and transferred me to an entirely different role- I only found out about it when I started getting emails from my new manager. Is this legal? It feels wrong my workplace made a business decision based on information obtained while I was on a medical leave and then used said information to change my job without any notice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
