Anyone had cartilage damage to the tibia bone?
So I have Multifocal deep chondral fissuring in the central weight-bearing lateral tibial plateau with the base of the lateral tibial eminence, with a 15 x 12 mm area of deep chondral delamination.
Every procedure i’ve read about seems to be involving the femur and not the tibia. I’ve talked to two surgeons and one immediately wanted to scope and the other said not much to do since it’s the tibia and its weight bearing and different shaped. I had asked about maci and osteochondral allograft and he said those are only for the femur. Am I just screwed and have to deal with daily pain and complete loss of athletics until I’m old enough for a knee replacement? I’m very discouraged and was hoping to hear from people that have similar injuries in the tibia.
