I have watched bodycams, crime documentaries etc. for a while now. I don't have kids of my own but I have nieces/nephews and friends who has kids.

Seeing a lot of children through bodycams etc. living with a*use and parents who really shouldn't have children why aren't we applying the same rules to biological parents who are birthing the kids? Why is it when it comes to adoption/fostering the parent/parents has to go through a scanning or whatever before the bureu even thinks of giving them a child?

I can understand that logically it would be a huge cost for society and might be hard to have the manpower/money to do what needs to be done but I still find it odd when society itself keeps saying "the children are our future", then why aren't we doing everything we can to protect them at all cost?
