My friend needs to go through Liver Transplant. They are considering either Medanta (Gurgaon) or Rela Hospital (Chennai).

Looking for experiences who have done their transplant (or their close relatives have) in either of these Hospitals.

My specific questions are as follows:

1. How was the overall experience?

2. Did Dr.Soin or Dr.Rela himself do the transplant?

3. How was post operative care?

4. How long did donor and patient had to stay in the hospital?

5. How long the patient had to stay in the city after discharge?

6. For the donor, was robotic surgery an option amd if yes, how was the experience of robotic surgery? Was the donor able to heal quickly?
