Like the title says, I (28F) am in a career field that moves me to different locations every few years. I am considering deleting my profiles. I barely post and only have Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. I add follower/friends with people I meet at each location and I like going on to see what my friends are doing and that’s sometimes the only way I will know about life updates unless I text or they are Christmas card people. I see some of them at conferences but hate missing the chance to send them a congrats text if they post about a big promotion or baby etc.
Has anyone in a similar job deleted all social media profiles and what are the drawbacks? Did you regret it?
I imagine I’ll lose touch with some friends and honestly forget about most of them since I won’t be in the same city as them anymore.
