[Help] Looking for help creating a UE5 portal material/shader
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to create a custom portal-style material in Unreal Engine 5.
The goal is to make something inspired by Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: a glowing circular portal, animated energy/filament lines, strong emissive parts, and some kind of depth effect in the center so it doesn’t look like a flat plane.
I’m still learning Unreal materials, so I’m looking for help from someone who understands UE5 shaders/materials better than me. I can provide reference images and screenshots of what I’m trying to achieve.
I don’t need a full gameplay system, only help with the material/shader setup.
Any advice, tutorial direction, node setup ideas, or help would be really appreciated.
