Any advice for solo combat? I've got a couple dozen hours and I cannot kill the Scavenger Matron. I'm running two handed weapons without spec-ing into much else so far.

For combat in general, feels like the wands have too long of an animation time to really weave into combat and the staves are out of the question. Are there any meals/potions I can make that help me not die in two hits from her poison?
