Garage sim — flooring around a raised SIGPRO + projector throw distance problem
Garage sim is up and running but I want to dial in a couple things:
Flooring around the mat. Hitting off a raised SIGPRO Supersoft. What’s the cleanest way to surround it with turf or other flooring? Something that transitions well off the raised mat and actually looks decent. Interlocking tiles? Rolled turf glued down? Curious what’s worked (or hasn’t) for others running a raised setup.
Projector placement. Had to push the projector all the way back so I’d stop clipping with my club. Now I’m at max throw distance and dealing with two issues:
• My shadow lands on the screen when I stand up after a shot
• Image quality is noticeably better when it was closer
Open to ideas — short-throw swap, ceiling mount further forward with a shield, totally different layout, whatever’s worked for you.
Also happy to take any other “wish I’d known this” feedback on garage builds.
