I grew up in Sandusky, Ohio as a Cleveland Indians fan. I vaguely remember reading a book in grade school about a high school pitcher who injuries his eye and worrues he won't play again. One night he is listening to a baseball game on the radio and he hears that the announcer is Herb Score , who was famously hit by a come backer to the mound and never really recovered his former performance, but he did become the Indians radio announcer. Does anyone remember this story/book and the title?
