Grafting question

Grafting question

I am getting very interested in grafting fruit trees and such, and I've been reading and had a introduction to grafting class and I have a real grafting class with root stock and stuff next weekend.

I have been talking about that at work and my lovely coworker just gifted these pear tree trims this morning with the hope I can practice grafting with them.

The varieties are Cold Snap and Beauté Flamande and she trimed them over the weekend. They are wrapped in a wet towel in a plastic bag.

Is there any way I can keep them until my class next weekend or do I need to do something tonight?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Edit to add: Pear not peach.

Location: Eastern Canada zone 4b We are having a late and cold spring and the buds are just beginning to burst.

I have a lone pear tree which I have forgot the variety atm (different than these two) could I try to graft it on it?
