Due to severe illness a few years ago, I had to retire from running a graduate program, and from my professional writing career... It’s been years of recovery, but I’m finally writing again, slowly.
What I need help finding: the best e-ink tablet & keyboard set-up for hours spent reclined in a reclining chair like a Lazy-Boy, etc.
I’m guessing the e-ink tablet and keyboard should likely work together as a clamshell or similar for comfortable and secure positioning on my lap in a recliner?
The nature of the ongoing disease process keeps me from sitting upright at a desk for any appreciable length of time.
My first attempts have been on an older iPad Pro with their proprietary keyboard. It does stay in place on the lap while in the recliner. but that’s about all it has going for it. The keyboard isn’t particularly gentle on easily bruised finger tips, and isn’t ergonomically designed for serious typing, at least for me.
One last note on my process that influences what devices best serve me: The e-ink tablets I have preferred are Android underneath. I need a variety of reading/writing/pdf apps.
