Formal Nights On Princess?

We’re sailing next week in Alaska on the Island princess and we heard there’s two formal nights during the week.
We also heard on Alaskan cruises that it’s more casual than formal, men just wear slacks and a shirt and women
about the same? We don’t have much room anyways for formal ware so we’re just wondering if anybody has some feedback on these Alaska formal nights? If anybody has sailed recently on the island princess, can you let us know please what you thought about this ship and the cruise over all.

Food + Beverage + Entertainment on Island Princess

We’re taking our first cruise i’m princess and selected the island princess ship because it’s smaller and heard it could navigate better in some of the outside passages in Alaska. Going to be sailing next week for a week on the island..
If anybody has sailed on this ship recently, how was the food and beverage on your cruise? We’ve heard mixed reviews about the main dining room and the buffets. We’re not doing any specialty dining. Is the entertainment and vibes during the day and evening fairly decent or is it just low-key and boring as we have also heard.
If you have any suggestions or advice while cruising on island princess, please share them with me. Thanks!

Alaska Weather Forecast Next 10 Days?

We’re on the Island princess next week on a 10 day Alaska cruise sailing from Vancouver to Anchorage.
Can anybody please tell me how the weather has been this week and what next week’s forecast is?
Has it been cold in the 40s and has it been also raining a lot? We’re packing for both scenarios. Thanks,
