So ive gone to emerg twice in the last week due to amlodipine side effects and feeling fear of blood clots. Im still getting cramping and charley horses but my D dimer was negative both times. First visit was 13th, second was 16th. I stopped taking the amlodipine on the 15th out of fear. My blood pressure is low. Im on one other blood pressure medication (candisartan hct) ive been getting dizzy spells for the past 2 days, and today my readings have all been 125 or less / 69-76.
Im trying not to think its a blood clot and im dying (as ive been told twice now im not) has anyone else experienced this?

Week ago a I was told to increase my amlodipine dosage to 10mg. 3 days in I started getting mega leg swelling, 2 days after that I started getting twitching and pain. (Thighs, knees, calves, ankle and bottom of feet) primarily my left leg but i do get some in my right leg. Not as often. I am my worst enemy and I google. I went to emergency and they ran my D dimer and it showed no signs of clotting. Next day fast forward still getting pain more so in my left leg as mentioned. So anxious I can’t sleep can’t think. What if the results changed in 24 hours? i know its possible. Im so scared to die honestly from a PE. Someone reassure me? 😭
