The creator herself refers to him/her as an abuser, because objectively, that what he/she is. Even if they don’t really feel pain ( which I doubt because gangle literally said he/she would “make it painful” in episode 6), that still doesn’t make it right

I also don’t really understand why people in that main TADC subreddit are so shocked that people don’t like Jax. I don’t necessarily DESPISE him/her with every fiber of my being, but I can’t act shocked that others don’t like him/her, even after learning his/her backstory, not everyone likes a-hole characters

Him/her throwing Ragatha into a deep fryer is a terrible thing to do, and let’s not forget about Zooble basically listening off terrible ways he/she physically harmed them during adventures in episode 7 ( the beach episode )

As for the angry Latina thing, I’m pretty sure they’re referring to Vaggi or something, and I don’t think she’s a good example of this trope, her “anger” is pretty justified if you ask me, she’s gone through so much, and has to put up with people a-holes too( she honestly doesn’t even seem that angry in the show, just mildly annoyed most of the time ), I’m assuming they meant Vaggi, but this person is a little to vague on which character is supposed to fit the angry Latina stereotype ( it’s between Carmilla and Vaggi )

And she wasn’t singing an “anime” theme song, she was telling everyone about the hotel, she started singing in Japanese because she IS Japanese, also, this girl has been in hell for like 70 years, that’s more than enough time to learn what an anime intro/outro is if she didn’t already know ( the person meant “nifty” not Mimzy btw ), a Japanese character singing in their native language or liking anime isn’t a stereotype? ( did more research, nifty probably died in the 50’s and the first Japanese anime film came out in 1917 🫤 ), regardless if anime was popular back then, or if intros were a thing back then, Anime was STILL a THING back in 1917, I checked ( I don’t think Alastor would care about her watching anime either ), did more research, anime IS apart of Japanese culture, so having a Japanese character show it in a song also isn’t a stereotype, the Chinese riff to introduce a Korean character thing also doesn’t work, because nifty is Japanese, singing in Japanese ( doesn’t really work for carmilla either, did more research, Spain is literally apart of the Hispanic world ), and even if the 1910’s anime’s didn’t have intros/outros, 70 years in hell, with modern stuff being introduced down there could get her invested, I’m sure sinners can carry human pop culture with them when they die

The lockdown also meant that the demons also weren’t allowed up there either, just to be safe, but Vox breached it later on in the season, but why would they let anyone in heaven if they’re on lockdown, willingly?? THAT would be confusing, what happened in the show was fine

I forgot whether charlie knew when Emily told her though the portal that heaven was on lockdown in the first episode of season 2, but they probably would have told her anyway ( I think they did in episode 5 of S2 ), though I’m pretty sure she told her heaven was on lockdown in the first episode

And Charlie can’t open portals to heaven, in season 1 episode 6, HEAVEN opened the portal for her

The paragraph? I fail to see how Charlie and Vox “wasted” their potential, how did you think they would be? Because from what I’ve seen, “wasted potential” regarding this show is usually “my headcanons didn’t come true” or “the characters didn’t do what I want”. You can’t always get your way. And I much as I love Angel and Husk, plenty of the other characters are interesting

They clearly mistreat insubordinate soldiers who step out of line, and him hyping them up before they went to slaughter the sinners doesn’t mean he isn’t abusive, at least to the ones who are hesitant.

Also, Vaggie and this extrocist girl are the only two we’ve seen shown mercy, the rest of them, though probably not treated well, seemed to be on board, both Vaggie and that girl were mistreated, and Vaggie conforted the girl BECAUSE she was mistreated, because she clearly has feelings. That doesn’t mean that all of them are merciful

Lute in season 2 barely says anything about the other girls getting slaughtered either, only Adam is her concern

And the “purpose” it served was to show us that Vaggie knew what Heaven was capable of after Carmilla asked why the both of them insisted on Heaven being the answer when they both knew what they were capable of.

They were literally in heaven, and Adam said whoever brings her Vaggie’s head gets a bazillion Heaven bucks,the rest of them started clearing, Vaggie had every right to defend herself because clearly those weren’t her sisters in arms anymore. And those other angels are clearly not as merciful as Vaggie and that other girl Vaggie was confortimg in the flashback ( though none of them should be
mistreated by Adam and Lute regardless )

The hotel gang also HAD to defend themselves, the angels were trying to KILL them, so they were happy because were able to fight back

But then again, this person will literally do anything to try and potray Adam in a good light, so I can’t be surprised, he mistreats soldiers who step out of line honey, deal with it.

I wouldn’t even call this a BAD criticism, that’s an understatement, him mistreating merciful soldiers should not be a surprise since he literally see him do this to Vaggie, there’s no excuse. The season 2 flashback Adam should have to convince you that he’s a terrible person, season 1 did all of the work for us on that accord. Doesn’t contradict jackshit.

They don’t have to like the ship, but calling them yurislop and simplifying their characters to “sad artist” and “nonchalant baddie” is…..definitely something. And it honestly does make sense, since we really start to see it in episode 4, so I didn’t really come out of nowhere. I know this is a gangle subreddit mostly ( this technically IS about her ), butttttt….yeahhhhh, this take bothered me 😬

I would probably let this slide if they didn’t word it like this, but this was a big yikes to me when I saw this.

This girl has crayon drawings because she’s giddy and optimistic. And apparently her making her girlfriend feel better for screwing up is a bad thing??? ( and like you said, she’s 200 years old, so you know this is clearly the case, she’s giddy, 200 year olds can be giddy in a cartoon, doesn’t mean she’s a child )

Also, husk also calls sir pentious “kid”, even though both him and Angel are adults, this isn’t just an exclusive “Angel dust” thing, none of the main cast members are actually children

She feel to her knees and cried in season 2 episode 6 because carmilla was working for Vox, so her reaction is justified if you ask me

Both of these instances, she was justified in her crying, she messed up with Angel and carmine is working for a guy literally trying to take on Heaven after they’ve basically made peace with them at this point ( by they I mean the hotel gang )

These two are the main couple, if it makes you that uncomfortable, then maybe stop watching the show then.

I guess Stolas realizing how wrong his dynamic with Blitzo was, hence giving him the crystal to do this job, and him being stripped of their status doesn’t count???? Also, I don’t understand the logic of comparing a finished product to one that’s only halfway done.

And saying that her show wishes it was Bojack is, like I said, crappy and mean spirited. And please don’t look me in the eyes and tell me that Verosika, Octavia, Loona, and Millie are any of the above please, these gals have quite a lot going for them. Octavia’s complicated relationship with her parents, Loona being an orphan and acting cynical to cover up how vulnerable she is, Verosika and her fame, rehab, and rightful resentment towards Blitzo, and Millie and her love for assasinating, and might I add she’s the only one with a good family life, and this upcoming pregnancy arc with her too. And this woman already confirmed that we would learn more about Stella too in season 3, so the same can apply for these other female characters aswell, the show is only halfway done after all, and since Blitzo and Stolas are the main characters, I would expect them to have the most going on

There’s probably more I missed about the female characters, but I haven’t watched the show in a bit, that’s what I remember, feel free to chime in
