Just acquired this striking red chronograph that was given out by Subaru to journalists in Dec. 2003 to commemorate building 1 million cars of the Legacy model.

I’m unsure of the brand or reference. Historically Subaru watches tend to be from Orient and this indeed has a TMI VD54 quartz movement. Would Seiko have made a watch for a corporate customers without their own branding?

I have no delusions of financial value but it’s a fun oddity that matches my car in age and color. Would love to wear it more, though it’s quite small for my 7in wrist with an 18mm strap and a 37mm case. 40mm lug-to-lug

Any suggestions for a style of band/bracelet that could help add visual weight? Would a small watch on a bund strap look ridiculous? Perhaps a perforated rally style strap to draw the eye away from the case?
