I have a theory

What if there was a king in the ancient world? Where there was really advanced technology. That king gathered the best scientists and built an empire off slave labour and with all of that and with the most powerful energy source ever discovered (motherflame) he built a machine that could grant any wish. The king wished for entire races, strange islands, wonders that had never existed. But the more he wished the more slaves he needed. So eventually he wished for slaves and people we now call the D clan were created by that machine, born for slavery. But one day one slave escaped and found the machine, they didn't wish for gold or revenge, they wished for a saviour who put smile on their faces and the sun god appeared. Nika freed them all they fought back, the king died and they used the machine after. Some wished for gold some health some wished for powers that's how devil fruits were created. Every fruit, a wish. Every fruit, a will. Those who wished for creatures, dragons, dinosaurs. Those wills became zoan fruits. But one slave wanted more than freedom, he wanted the throne (the empty throne) his name was Davy D Jones. Davy ruled for hundreds maybe thousands of years and for a long time that was just how the world worked until two friends decided to end it. Joyboy and Imu. Joyboy wanted freedom from Davys grip, but Imu wanted something else entirely. He didn't want to free the world, he wanted to replace him so he made a plan. They reached the Machine, joyboy wished for the power of the sun god, the power he heard about in old legends and Imu wished for something far more dangerous. The power to make anyone obey him, domi reversi, immortality and an artifact that could steal the powers of others. Blackbread has that artifact right now. They went after Davy together and joyboy was fighting him. Imu walked up to the machine and took Davys powers for himself. Betrayal was the plan all along. Now Imu turned joyboys allies, the friends he had. Domi reversed. Zoe, Emeth all of them, joyboy couldn't fight back without killing them, so he ran but when he fled he took the machine with him. But he couldn't wish Imu dead so he did something smarter, he wished that Imu loses his body, he becomes a shadow a consciousness with no form and cannot leave mariejoe ever then he took the machine to the impossible. To the final Island, the end of world he locked it. Only key was the sun god, true freedom, he wrote everything down what happened who Imu is and exactly how to end all of this and joy boy died on laugh tale, that Island is laugh tale and Machine is the one piece that's why roger wept when he got there not because he found treasure but because he finally understood the whole story and knew he wasn't the one who could finish it so he passed it to shanks,nd shanks spent years waiting specially waiting for Luffy to unlock gear 5 because joyboys plan onlyworks with one key that key has always been Luffy.

This is only a theory but who knows what Oda sensei might actually be cooking?
