M31 Andromeda Galaxy

Recently have went from a Seestar S30 Pro to a full setup.

This is my first full Astro image taken on my new setup.

This was taken with a Redcat 51, AM3N and a 585mc air. Exposure was roughly 30 x 120secs. Hope you like!

Camera/filter drawer/scope spacing question

Hi all! I recently got the following gear:

585MC Air, William Optics Redcat 51 v3, EAF pro, SVBONY SV226 filter drawer for 2" filter.

I am having major problems achieving focus with this, both with and without the filter dropped in. I had it set up as follows from the scope to camera: Scope - filter drawer - 21L spacer - camera

Checking AI (which makes me dubious) it says that I need to remove the 16.5L spacer. Do you think this will help? I haven't had a chance to check this.

Is this the likely reason or could it be something else like a setting with the EAF?

It did work the first night I got it, before my filter drawer had arrived. I was using it as follows: Scope - 21L spacer - Camera

This makes me think that removing the spacer will make it all work?

Thanks!

Solar eclipse video editing

Hi all! I am just curious how you all plan to edit your S50/30/30 Pro video footage of the solar eclipse next week? I typically only edit photos, using Siril and Lightroom. I am not so familiar with video editing so just curious how everyone does it. Ideally I want this to be free and have something that can stabilise my videos - suggestions welcome!

S50 & S30 Pro bag/case

Hey! Recently purchased an S50 in addition to the S30 Pro I already had. I am just curious if anyone has any recommendations for a bag/case that will hold both securely? I suppose I can always keep them separate but it would be nice to keep them together if possible.

Updated image: The Bubble Nebula NGC 7635, 30 sec subs totalling 2.5 hours integration time.

Please see my last post in here to see the first edit, no idea what went wrong! I took the advice from people there and spent more time on tutorials to come up with this version of the image which I think looks far more pleasing and subtle. Would love to hear your thoughts now on the edit! Thanks to all those that helped before

The Bubble Nebula, S30 Pro with 2.5 hours of integration time

I was shocked when I edited the stacked image in Siril that all of these colours were there. Does this look ok/normal?

I am also curious why my image preview in Siril always looks so blotchy and noisy, no matter what I do. But then when I save the file and open in Lightroom it looks a lot sharper? Makes it really difficult during the editing process! My workflow was:

Crop and BGE
Plate solved
CC Sharpen then CC Denoise
Remove stars
Veralux stretch (auto)
Veralux curves
Add in stars again
Minor tweaks in LR

Have I missed anything major? Feedback is helpful!
