Bought two "untested" units from Japan for a good price before shipping (shipping made this overall process not worth it, but here we are).

Unit 1: MD player worked, screen was fine, but the open/close mechanism wasn't working. Unit 2: MD player didn't work (I fixed it, I think), screen was a 4/10, but open/close mechanism working. Frankenstein'd the working parts together for one good unit.

Units are pioneer carrozzeria avic v77md and avic v07md

Found this 2-sided light up sign on marketplace and had to snag it. It's about 29"x25" and uses a nice and slightly "buzzing" fluorescent bulb. Came from an old computer parts dealer, basically mint condition. Still wondering where to actually hang it up to be able to appreciate both sides of it.

I was curious what a 58mm fisheye would look like mounted up (via 58 to 37 adapter) to the pc100. Image doesn't "fisheye" as much as when it's on the vx2000, I don't know what I really expected

Decided to try one of these out, wanted a ~$1,000 build, combination of new and used parts.

Floppy drive is functional, and I use it for a Sony Mavica camera (neat camera, it saves to floppies).

Next up is a firewire PCIe card for the mini dv camcorder footage, and making the cd drive and front usb ports functional.

750w PSU (used $40)

Presario case (used $60)

Tower cooler and two case fans (new ~$75 total)

DM me if you want the old internals (everything except the cd and floppy drive), it turned on when it got delivered, but I didn't have a vga cable to really see if it was working. Seller said it was working with Windows XP.

Also, let me know if you have a SAT dvd or cd writer you want to get rid of.

Waiting for my case to be delivered, so doing a temporary dive into the open build world. Cable management? Never heard of it.
