Block start help

I’m a returning athlete and I think the best thing I can improve quickly is my block start/acceleration phase. I’m in the middle, and I already am aware of some of my flaws:

Overreaching/over-pushing ? (was more on my left cuz I strained hamstring recently)

Landing flat footed

I also noticed the guy to my left is able to correct his position properly in the air by 2nd step is ahead of me frequency wise while not pushing as hard as me ?

Idk I feel pretty powerful and explosive but it’s not translating to my starts. Any observations and advice is welcome
