Seeing the reactions to my post with Chris 8, how about a middle ground?

Now I'm going to explain why I'm not a big fan of his design in Episode VIII.

Ever since I saw him, something seemed off to me. It wasn't until I saw a comment that pinpointed the problem exactly: "He said his head was like Charlie Brown's." It made me laugh, and it's true, his head is bigger, his nose is bigger too, and he's very puffy. And the beard—let's be honest, that wasn't really a beard, it was mud plastered to his face. If you look closely, it looks awful (that's because the engine was still very early). That's why I wanted to remove the beard so we could see his face and jawline. But seeing the reaction, I decided that the middle ground with the typical goatee is fine. On one hand, you can see his jaw, and on the other, it covers his large nostrils. And I'll say that Chris doesn't have any problem looking good without a beard, only the Chris from Episode VIII, because he's not as handsome (in my opinion).

I've already gotten used to Matt Mullins' Chris, who... That Chris was perfect for me. His face was oval with a strong jawline and cheekbones, a small nose with a thick bridge, full lips, and a deep gaze. To me, that was the perfect Chris, somewhere between a pretty boy and a tough guy. I think the Chris from Vendetta (who, while he looks closer to Matt's Chris, what bothers me are his Dumbo ears, but I imagine he has long hair covering them and it's passable) and Death Island is more like Mullins' Chris. I have to say that the Chris from 8 is handsome, but to me, he's just average-looking, like the Leon from Infinity Darkness and Death Island, who are handsome but not Adonis-like, like in RE, Code Veronica, Damnation, 5, 6, Vendetta, and Death Island (Chris, even though he looks like a muscular Keanu Reeves, doesn't bother me at all). What I'm getting at is that Capcom has already spoiled me with these kinds of characters. They're a 9, on par with Chris Hemsworth or Henry Cavill. When they have a design that's just good-looking and not at the level of those actors, it feels strange to me. Like I said, I'm the one who got used to bad designs. I know there are people who like those designs, and that's fine.

P.S.: The last two were just a joke, but I'm still fed up with his hair. Cesar, I want his hairstyle from the 5th or 7th season back.

Chris in Re village looks much better without a beard

Even so, it's not my favorite design. I think in terms of face, Resident Evil 5, Revelation, Remake 1, and Code Veronica are better. But he looks much better in town without a beard.⁸
