Buspar and Menstrual Cycle
Hello! I wanted to see if anyone has had buspar affect their menstrual cycle? I (27F) used to have relatively regular cycles (average 28 days cycle with 5 day variation) for my whole adult life. I‘ve been on buspar for the past 6 months. I started with 20mg per day and upped to 30mg per day 2 months ago. About 3 months ago my cycles started getting completely unpredictable. First a 44 day cycle, then 19 days, then 20 days, etc. I’ve also noticed other symptoms that seem to suggest that my hormones don’t seem to be on the right schedule. I’m not sure the buspar is the cause or if it’s something else going on with me entirely, so I wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience before I go to the doctor, etc. I haven’t changed anything else food or lifestyle wise and I don’t take any other medications. I love buspar and have no other side effects at all - it has tremendously helped me. Thanks in advance!
