If you have applied and waiting. Mail Scholarship . <scholarship@snu.edu.in> and Admission office both. CC either. And mention your name, major, reason of application, application number (both application and scholarship number).
If you paid the fee, SNU will generate a fee return if you grt the scholarship. If you have applied for sports scholarship please do it on time because university also conducts a on ground test (isnt that hard).
Call admission office for updates also.

Food photo attached for reference. Please ignore the quantity, i eat like a pig. Also majority is non veg, cause i eat only non veg (🙂👉👈). This might be subjective answer.

So, you get both non veg and veg lunch and dinner (shared a menu to check). We get weekly menu on Monday morning. Vendor for food is Sodexo.

Breakfast - 7-10

Lunch - 12-3

Evening Mess - 4-6

Dinner - 7-10:30

Ala Carte - 7-10

Midnight Mess - 11-2

We have 3 dinning halls - DH1, DH2, DH3

(Food is same in all three, except only DH1 serves Evening mess, Ala Carte, Midnight mess)

So we have a point system (see it as money), we get 1300 points every week to spend. I have used some rough numbers to explain it.

IMPORTANT: the weekly money is enough to buy veg Breakfast Lunch Dinner for a week. For other food options you will to learn how to manage. For me, i dont do breakfast, generally i skip lunch because of classes, go evening mess and dinner, for midnight and all extra i am able to do it or i ask my friends. I never had any issue with paying anything from my pockets. So dont stress. You will miss lot of meals and will have a strange eating schedules.

I do sports and I go gym. I get enough nutrition for it.

Eg- Breakfast- tea, coffee, milk, egg (20), bread omelette(50), breakfast (75) so you can buy what you want.

Lunch/dinner- veg (80), non veg (130)

And

Evening Mess: There is large option of food, more like snacks like samosa, dosa, maggie, egg maggie, masala dosa, chicken tikka, panner tikka, soya chaap, chat and all. But you need to pay different points of each. Eg- samosa (30), chicken tikka (150) etc etc

And

Ala Carte: For dinner you can go dh1- and buy from a larger option- biryani, chicken briyani, naam, roti, dal, panner, noodles, fired rice, egg fried, chicken fried rice etc. But, you have to pay specificlly for all this. Eg- dal (x amount), rice (x amount), noodles (50) etc etc.

And

Midnight mess: maggie, paratha, poha, bread omelette, tea, coffee, milk, egg maggie, chicken maggie, kulcha, chciken kulcha. Again, pay specificly for everything.

Also, sodexo has their own counter to buy - coke, diet coke, cake, pastries, chips, etc BUT you need to pay for this from your pocket. Not a part of the point system. Rest everything works from point system.

Go to LinkedIn, search for the program and add some element like “shiv Nadar University or snu 26 etc etc”, find students or alumni and send cold message.

Eg - search biotech shiv Nadar University

Find someone to message

Go like… hello, i am xyz, got offer for biotech. My objective is to get this this this, my question is this this this… check where alumni works.

Do it for all other university options you go.

Tip: placements should not be the primary purpose for you. Ask about exchange programs maybe or professor’s network or area of research. Eg- if you are from physics or history, and interested into any specific branch of physics or history, ask about that.

Go like, i am interested in xyz, what do you think…
