Currently chipping away at the father in laws early (1993) M3, it’s about to hit 200,000kms and needs some love. It’s a 3.0L 5 speed, and parts for this spec are EXPENSIVE compared to 3.2L/6 speed parts. I’m planning out doing the clutch and flywheel (staying dual mass), as well as overhauling the front suspension and arms.
I’ve dug the depths of the forums and I’m looking to confirm that I can use some of the parts from the newer M3:
- Clutch/flywheel/bearing as a kit
- Lower control arms (do I use an original offset style bushing or a newer centred one?)

Any help or other tips appreciated 🙏🏻
