When Afrobeats meets K-Pop

From left to right: Arike, Ayomide, Olamide, Yemi

Straight from the city of Ile-Ife, in the heart of Yorubaland, the historical region of the legendary Oyo Empire, in Nigeria, these 4 girls started from nothing, apart from growing up together being cousins, to one day blowing up becoming icons in their country, and now it looks like their fame is getting ready to go beyond a new horizon: becoming a global sensation.

When they were cultivating their passion for music, their main inspirations were the Jackson 5, the Destiny Child, the Katseye and, last but not least, the Migos.

Besides their music and talent, there's another thing they stand for: being proud of themselves and never forgetting where they come from, no matter what. They want to push a new blueprint to be proud of their roots and their culture, advocating against skin bleaching and dependence on wigs, which has got more and more common in Nigeria, telling people that there's no way you hate yourself for just being born a certain way, in a certain part of the world, because the world is so big and full of so many shades and shapes, and this is what makes the world so beautiful.
