Complete Disney/Pixar Heroes & Villains (Captain America, Team Leader & Doctor Doom, King of Latveria) Commander Decks + 75 Disney-Themed Basic Lands (15 of each color)!
Hi again!
After a small break after my latest Warcraft deck and with a new Magic set released, what better way to celebrate the proper addition of the Hero and Villain creature types than to make two Disney/Pixar-themed decks built around them?
The Heroes deck is helmed by Hercules (Captain America, Team Leader) and the Villains deck is helmed by Hades (Doctor Doom, King of Latveria), with both based on the their respective precons with a few needed upgrades to make them more viable. I played around with them in Forge for a bit and liked how they felt so I'm happy with how they turned out! Both focus on +1/+1 counters, but the Villains deck does so using the Connive mechanic, so there's a lot of discarding. I hate having to discard cards so it was a way for me to challenge myself into trying new gameplay styles while sticking to my favorite theme, i.e. kindred decks.
As usual, these decks focus more on thematic fun rather than pure optimization. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy playing them! 😊 Oh and there's a whole set of basic lands included using official Disney background paintings and concept art, which was a blast to look up! Definitely made me see the old handpainted Disney movies in a new way.
A few disclaimers: 1. I didn't add any of the Incredibles (aside from the Showtime!/Avengers Assemble! card) because they felt more Fantastic Four-esque, which I decided to omit from the heroes deck because of reasons. 2. I know it would make sense to use the actual Hercules Marvel card as Disney Hercules, but it was too easy. Good thing there was another Disney demigod available! 3. Most cards are based off Lorcana artwork, which is why some of them have non-canonical appearances (e.g. Peter Pan and Captain Hook). I thought they looked cool though so I used them anyway. 4. While I'm not here to argue which Disney movie or character is the best, Hercules is mine and therefore there's a bit more Hercules-themed cards, together with other movies I enjoy the most. While I do appreciate getting casual requests (I don't do commissions sadly), I probably won't be making additional card variants or exchanging card X for character Y :) Ideally I'd make two decks with 200 cards each just so I could fit everything in there, but alas.

If you want to know how I make the art pop out of the frame, here's a comment from an earlier deck where I briefly explain the process: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicproxies/comments/1tnn7cd/comment/oo0qxuf/
What's included in the Drive folder:
- Every card needed for the decks, obviously
- A few cards have multiple variants, either with different art or the Ape Villain token created by Red Ghost (Jumba Jookiba) that has either more thematic creature types (Experiment Villain) or the original creature types (Ape Villain), depending on whether you or your opponents want creature types to remain the same
- A decklist in text format, including Moxfield links to both decks (Heroes and Villains)
- Custom tokens
- Thematic cardbacks that you can use if you want to
- Full sets of Disney-themed basic lands for each color in the commanders' color identities
As always, if you manage to find something that's not supposed to be there or if there's a typo or another error of some kind, feel free to comment or send me a message or something so I can change it asap!
You can also find the rest of my decks in my post history (Warcraft, Star Wars, A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones), if you're interested 😊
