Pathway to structural engineering

I graduated last year and studied for my FE exam and passed it around December. Since then, i have been looking for structural engineering jobs / entry-level civil engineering jobs. I recently got a job as a construction material testing (and the job im at has a lot of geotechnical and construction engineering and does have a lot of upward mobility. From what i have understood) I would take an opportunity with them as geotechnical engineering. However, I was interested in structural engineering and wonder if this job helps out with that. I got an FE at the time to help me stand out (i had no relative experience or internships when i first graduated). Would this job also be relevant experience for structural engineering as field work (i have no clue). Would future employers structural engineering employers be interested with CMT
