Hey everyone, my brother is going for a 50% matched bone marrow transplant (haploidentical transplant) in about 6 weeks.

I wanted to ask people who have gone through it or had a family member recover from it — what things should we focus on the most during recovery? Any important precautions, tips, or things you wish you had known earlier?

Also, after coming home, does he need to stay isolated in one room for around 3 months, or can he move around the house normally with precautions?

We’re a bit nervous, so hearing real experiences would mean a lot to us.
